Franklin Electric 4" Submersible Encapsulated Motors, manufactured in ISO 9001 certified facilities. These motors are built for operation in 4" diameter or larger water wells. Our 4" submersible motors (0.25 through 9.3 kW) feature the industry's widest range of voltage and frequency ratings in both 1- and 3-phase models. It is fitted with water lubricated radial and thrust bearings for maintenance-free operation. The motor is filled with a special FES93 fluid, a special diaphragm ensures pressure compensation inside the motor. The Franklin Electric Stainless Super 4-inch submersible motor has been the driving force behind residential and light commercial submersible pumps for decades. Designed and patented in 1950 by our founder, Ed Schaefer, this motor has proven to be the industry’s most trusted residential pump motor. Franklin offers a 4-inch submersible motor in a full line of single- and three-phase voltages, frequencies, and application-specific models. Wherever there is an independent source of clean groundwater, you can find a Franklin motor.
