ESCO® swaging dies are precision manufactured using premium quality tool steel. We make adapters that allow the use of standard ESCO® dies and ESCO® swaging systems with other brand swagers. ESCO® die gauges provide an easy and accurate way for operators to check the condition of their ESCO® swage dies. Regular checking allows operators to monitor the condition of their dies and to identify when a die is reaching the end of its usable life. By ordering ahead, operators can then eliminate lost production time and maintain the highest quality swaged assembly standards. ESCO® swaging dies are made in three block sizes: 2″ x 3-1/2″ end dimension. Working Load Limit (WLL) 200 tons jaw pressure. Use on ESCO® Mark 75 and Mark 87 Swagers. Weight: 11-16 pounds per set. 2-1/2″ x 5″ end dimension. WLL 500 tons jaw pressure. Use on ESCO® Mark 100 and Mark 150 Swagers. Can be used on Mark 200 and Mark 250 swagers with an adapter. Do not exceed 500-ton WLL. Weight 25-40 pounds per set. 4″ x 7″ end dimension. WLL 1200 tons jaw pressure. Use on ESCO® Mark 250 Swagers. Weight 90-134 pounds per set. ESCO® swaging dies are available in five basic types: Open Channel Dies – Swages all ESCO® stainless steel, duplex, and single sleeves. Also swages some sizes of sockets, ferrules, and carbon steel sleeves Tapering Dies – Swage ESCO® carbon steel sleeves. Preliminary swaging is required in open channel dies on 1-inch and larger sleeves. Ferrule Dies – Swages all ESCO® Midget, Dwarf, and Bantam size ferrules. Two types: Straight-through Channel for swaging multiple ferrules in-line Front Entry dies for swaging ferrules only at the end of the rope Staging Dies – Swages larger sockets. Cutaway ends allow close swaging of sockets. Forged Socket Dies – Swage forged sockets (look like open channel dies, but diameters and block lengths are designed specifically for forged swage sockets. Swage Die Wear Gauges ESCO® die gauges let you know when your ESCO® dies are worn beyond acceptable limits. Even though ESCO® dies are made to precise tolerances from special tool steels, normal use will cause wear. The rate of wear varies by the type of fitting, the use of lubrication and the volume of fittings put through the dies. Dies worn beyond the wear limit cannot swage fittings as intended and may result in the unacceptable performance of the swaged assembly. ESCO® die gauges provide an easy way to check the condition of your ESCO® swage dies. Regular checking tells you when dies are approaching the time for replacement so you can order ahead, eliminating lost production. ESCO® die gauges are available for all ESCO® open channel dies, tapering dies, and ferrule dies. Gauges are available individually or in sets.
