This ruggedised, intrinsically safe and weatherproof beacon is intended for use in potentially explosive atmospheres, and has been designed with high ingress protection to cope with the harsh environmental conditions found offshore and onshore in the oil, gas and petrochemical industries. Please refer to MEDC for guidance on cable capacitance and barriers. Please Note: This beacon should be used for supplementary indication purposes only. In this case the device is not required to be used as a Visual Alarm Device (VAD) and EN54-23 is not relevant to its classification.
