The XLM800 Loop Expansion Module fits “piggyback” style onto the FIM or an existing XLM800 and is used to: The XLM800 Loop Expansion Module controls the communications between the detectors (and other ancillaries) connected on the 2-wire loop circuits and the controller. In addition, the addressable interface contains line isolation circuits which protect the loop driver circuit from short-circuit conditions.
