Sulphuric acid (or ""sulfuric acid"") is one of the most important industrial chemicals used in today’s growing world. It is most commonly used in fertiliser manufacturing but is also important in mineral processing, oil refining, chemical processing and several other applications. Pumps are used to circulate and transfer acid of 93-99.5% concentrations from one process to the next. Our Lewis® vertical sulphuric acid pumps have been specifically developed for service in strong sulphuric acid and oleum applications. Lewis® vertical sulphuric acid pumps can be manufactured in multiple industry standard lengths , and proprietary materials can be customised to suit the application. The pump’s vertical design eliminates the pressurised seal area, promoting a safe environment for the plant and operators.
